Talk about the weather -------Unit 3The weather BLet’s talk&Let’s play 一、教材分析 本课教材是PEP 四年级英语下学期第三单元B部分的第一课时。单元主题是Talk about the weather。该主题属于“人与自我”和“人与自然”的范畴，本节课围绕“the world weather”展开，对话通过Chenjiehe和Mark的电话，了解纽约现在下雨，北京的天气也不冷，学生通过理解语篇对话，感受核心句型“What’s the weather like in ...?It’s ...”的语用和语义，理解摄氏度和华氏度的区别。
二、 学情分析 四年级的学生通过三年级的一年学习，对英语有了一些初步的概念，能在老师的引导下完成相关任务，因此本课准备采用多次呈现对话情景动画，通过声形并茂的多模态的方式感染学生，使学生在新授之前，就可以了解对话内容，再鼓励学生模仿表演对话，感知新句型的应用功能，最后再提炼重点句型，通过游戏活动加以巩固。
三、教学目标 通过本课时学习，学生能够：
1、通过看图，听音等方式在“The weather in the world”的语境中感知“What’s the weather like in ...?It’s ...”Is it...?No,it isn＇t“This is...”电话用语的语义和语用情境。（学习理解）
2、用正确的语音语调朗读对话，提升阅读能力，提取关键信息，解决问题。（应用实践）
听说，认读，运用核心句型“What’s the weather like in ...?It’s ...”进行询问，回答与介绍某地的天气特征和天气情况。（应用实践）
3、体会中西方在天气描述方面的文化差异，并能根据天气情况来规划天气和出行。（迁移创新）
四、教学重难点 重点：
学生能理解对话大意，并正确、熟练地朗读对话和分角色扮演，做到语调、重音地道自然，能在情境中恰当运用句型What’s the weather like in ...?询问某个城市的天气，以及用句型It’s ... 回答。
难点：
理解How about ...?表示询问对方同样的问题，degrees.表示温度。
五、教学过程 Step 1：Warm-up/Review Let’s sing a song. 学生观看视频动画，跟唱歌谣，模仿歌谣。了解下雨天不能外出。。
Step 2：Lead-in and Presentation 1、Listen and tick 出示本课情境图，让学生判断Mark和Chen Jie分别在哪个城市。
T: Where is Chen Jie? Where is Mark? Let’s listen and tick. 先观察挂图，再听音答题，锻炼学生从图片中提取信息的能力。
2、Listen and answer 出示课本对话图片，并向学生介绍听音任务，问答问题。
播放录音材料，学生完成听音任务。
T: What’s the weather like in New York? Ss: It’s rainy. T: What’s the weather like in Beijing? Ss: It’s warm. 3：Watch and answer 播放Let’s talk视频，要求学生认真观看并回答问题。
播放视频材料，学生完成视听任务。
看完视频后，教师重复问题，学生分享自己的答案及依据。
T: Mark and Chen Jie are talking about the weather in their cities. Why Mark thinks (认为) it’s cold in Beijing while Chen Jie says it’s warm? Let’s watch the video. T: They are using different (不同的) units (单位) of temperatures (温度). 此处为本节课难点，可以用温度计帮助学生理解原因。
4：Read and fill in the blanks 引导学生阅读对话，并让学生提取时间和事件等重要信息，并做到一一对应。
T: Please find out what happened and complete the dialogue. Please pay attention to the words about weather. 5：Listen and imitate. 一句一句播放对话内容，让学生跟读，每句对话读两遍，引导学生模仿录音的语音、语调，并注意较难句子的发音。
Step 3：Practice 1: Ask and answer 老师对学生进行分组，两人一组。
讨论时间为三分钟，在学生小组合作时，教师巡视每个小组的情况，记录学生出现的错误。
2: Role-play 老师对学生进行分组，四人一组。
讨论时间为三分钟，在学生小组合作时，教师巡视每个小组的情况，记录学生出现的错误。小组合作时间到后，教师统一纠正巡视时发现的学生问题。
挑选3-4组学生进行上台表演。对表演的小组按照星级标准做出反馈。
Step 4：Production 1: Let’s play 教师出示PPT，先让学生根据图片猜测对话，然后再出示对话内容，并引导学生根据图片内容，运用主要句型进行变式练习。
T: Wu Binin and Amy are talking about weather. Let’s talk about weather now. You can practice by using the pictures in you book. 2: Make a new conversation 老师先邀请一名同学帮助自己完成对话，然后引导学生自主结对，创编新对话。
